How and Where to Watch Demon Slayer? A Complete Watch Order Guide

Everybody loves a sibling story full of drama, but when it is written with a supernatural flavor and presented with a bonus of high-paced slashing action and gore, it no longer remains a typical shonen anime.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba has easily turned a classic narrative about demon-slaying into a yarn of family, friendship, and triumphs over evil.

The Demon Slayer anime series ran its first season in 2019. The second season named Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Entertainment District Arc has concluded.

The second season ran in two cours. The first seven episodes of the first cour, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Mugen Train Arc, have already been released since October 2021, with the remaining eleven episodes of the second cour covering the Entertainment District Arc concluded on February 13, 2022.

This franchise also has a blockbuster movie to its credit.

Since its release, this franchise has been a packet of surprises, with both manga and anime breaking records in box offices and bookshelves worldwide.

For the anime fans, I can guarantee that watching this anime is worth every second and will leave you with a feeling that can only be described as ‘eyegasm.’

4. Conclusion

Demon Slayer is relatively new to the world of anime, and it has quickly garnered all the praises that it is worthy of it. This anime is as simple as it appears to be to follow, with only two seasons and a film. The spinoff shorts give a slight relief from the intense storyline.

You can either follow the release order or the chronological order. Nothing will change the storyline for you. The release and the chronological order are the same.

The first part of the second season reintroduces the Mugen Train arc from the movie and one might feel like skipping some of the episodes from this arc.

Even if you’ve seen the movie and know what to expect, I recommend watching all of the episodes because several original shots have been included. The first episode, in particular, is an absolutely fresh story. Apart from that, the episodes end with Taisho-era secrets as they did in the first season.

There are also no filler episodes in the series, and each episode is a manga canon.

Kimetsu Academy Shorts are not canon to the story and can be skipped. The Bond of Siblings movie summarizes the first five episodes of season 1 and is skippable.

Demon Slayer has a very linear and straightforward plotline, but sometimes simplicity can be a great sophistication. It is a beautiful anime shown with fantastic animation. For people who have not fallen into the world of shonen anime, this could be the one to get them out of the rock.
